In a post to the Playstation Blog, Dominic Matthews of designer Ninja Theory revealed a fresh trailer for their approaching game, Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice.

The trailer shows Senua, the game’s main personality, looking in worry at a tree that may be ridden with hung figures. Matthews said in the post that Senua is managing “trauma and psychosis”?through the entire game, so it’utes likely the pine is a creation of her. The more interesting point about this trailer is the audio. Throughout, we pick up the voices inside Senua’s head, along with the voice over work for the trailer was done using binaural mics, which means that?if you place on headphones to watch a clip, you’ll hear these voices as if we were holding in a 3D room. It’s creepy, although awesome.

Matthews also stated that the way they’ng created this scene is slightly?not the same as how motion seize is usually shot. “Were showcasing a world-first: a new technology that allows the actress to perform the particular scene live plus real-time directly within the game world. As far as we know no one has done this kind of with a character of which fidelity before.”

Hellblade: Senua’ohydrates Sacrifice is a recreation based in celtic mythology. It follows Senua, any viking warrior who has long gone completely psychotic, as the girl embarks on a journey through the particular “hellish underworld” that her brain has created. It was announced back in 2014 at Gamescom under the name Hellblade. It was only recently that Ninja Theory chosen to add the subtitle.

This is Ninja Theory’ohydrates first self-published game, They’onal previously worked on Mind-blowing Sword, the Satan May Cry restart DmC: Devil May Cry, and have even assisted out with some of the Walt disney world Infinity games. These all have been done with the help of an outside publisher, though Hellblade, they’ve decided to go for it on their own.

Ninja Theory’s staff is composed of 16 people total, which is amazingly small for a recreation as big as they say it really is. Matthews wants to reassure avid gamers that this should not be a worry. He said, “We believe that will independence has given us the freedom to try to push our creative ideas and also technology further than we’ve have before.”

Hellblade: Senua’ohydrates Sacrifice will come specifically to PS4. There is no relieve date yet, but the team is filming for sometime inside 2016. If you’d similar to, you can follow their own developer diary series here. For more, stay tuned in to Hardcore Player.
